Jake & the Neverland Pirates Party: Decor

Continuing along with the Jake pirate party game post, here is a post dedicated to the decorations Kirsten and I made!

There are a ton of options for Jake invites but why would I make it simple?!  This little pirate was cut from my cricut using Paper Doll Dress-up.

For the main decor piece, I made a ship out of cardboard for our iron gate.  This was a labor of love that turned out far better than I thought it would.  ha!  We secured the ship to the gate using zip ties.  (banner from Wal-Mart)

I had some leftover cardboard so I made a few signs to place around the yard.

Pirate pinata from....I can't remember!

The goodie bags were super easy and fun to make.  Brown paper sacks, glitter glue, black pen, Jake printable from the Disney site and the crocs.....see below.

Most of the Jake themed stuffing was from the dollar spot at Target.

The little crocs were made out of clothespins!

Painted green.....

Insides of the crocs painted white

Croc spikes cut from a foam hand from the dollar store.

Ta-da!

For all of our parties, I make a treat table with a few fun things to fit the theme.  Here is the "Dessert Barrrgh."

I used a red sheet for the base, covered with a fishing net from Wal-Mart, Jake themed plates and napkins were also from Wal-Mart, coins from oriental trading.

The cupcake pics were cut on my cricut using from Paper Doll Dress Up.

Kirsten and I made these ships for the table decor.  They were time consuming but oh so fun!  (Jake table cloths from Wal-Mart)

I'm missing a few pictures of our intial ship making steps because someone (*cough* Kirsten) got anxious and forged ahead without documenting the adventure.  Our office coffee comes in individual packets on large white plastic strips so we saved these strips (along with the boxes that the coffee comes in).  We wrapped the coffee boxes with brown paper, drew planks with black marker, wrapped the plastic strips with black paper and inserted them into the top of the ship (securing with hot glue).

We tore strips of blue paper to resemble water and taped them to the boxes.

Red and white baker's twine was used to connect the two black sticks (technical sailing term there) together and then we added a brown paper mast.

Shipwreck!

Jake printables are free on the Disney site so we printed several of them and glued them to our ships.  We had an equal amount of Jake and Captain Hook ships.

We used a ship for the food line as well.  "Arrrgh you hungry?!"
